Overview
On March 31-April 3, 2005, The Agency for Healthcare Research and
Quality (AHRQ) and the National Conference of State Legislatures
(NCSL) sponsored “Introduction to State Health Policy: A Seminar
for New State Legislators” in Chicago, Illinois.
The non-partisan seminar was designed to provide an overview of
major health policy issues facing State legislatures, giving legislators
a “head start” on several complex issues they may be
asked to address in their respective States. It also provided an
opportunity to network with other legislators from across the country,
and learn about national resources available to assist them.
