Content: State governments, especially State legislatures, play a major role in setting policy for the regulation, financing, and delivery of health care in America. With heightened involvement in health care policy, State legislatures are in a position to guide their States in effective administration of the health care delivery system. This session reviews some of the traditional roles States have played and discusses the variety of new roles States are assuming.
