Stephanie Hauser serves as a Research Analyst for the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment's State Health Care Reform Technical Assistance, and Knowledge Synthesis and Dissemination Project and the Center for Mental Health Service's (CMHS's) Independent Evaluation of the Community Mental Health Services Block Grant. In this capacity, she assists with evaluation; data collection and analysis; and planning and management of meetings, workshops, and conferences. She also participates on a project funded by the Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health, the Office of the Surgeon General, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to develop Surgeon General communications on mental health issues relevant to women and girls. She is responsible for assisting with focused interviews with key public- and private-sector leaders, conducting a literature review, planning and managing a Surgeon General's workshop, developing a set of communiqués, and producing a tool kit. Ms. Hauser also manages the CMHS's Consumer Scholarship Program, which produces policy guidance documents from the mental health consumer perspective. She is responsible for collecting, processing, reading, and evaluating mental health consumer applications for scholarship to numerous national mental health conferences as well as arranging logistics for approved scholarship recipients and reading and summarizing participant reports. Ms. Hauser is fluent in Spanish and has received bachelor's degrees in psychology and Spanish from Villanova University.
