Christopher Botsko is Project Director for HSR's contract to provide technical assistance to the over 50 State Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Grantees. Mr. Botsko has expertise in the areas of early childhood services, integrating health and social services, qualitative research methods, and survey development and analysis. He has developed multiple focus group protocols and conducted dozens of focus groups around the country. He has designed numerous survey instruments, including ones used in online, telephone, and in-person surveys. Mr. Botsko has helped States design and carry out effective meetings that obtain desired results.
In addition, to his work on early childhood, Mr. Botsko has managed projects examining collaboration between hospitals and social service agencies, case management for pregnant women, prenatal care, welfare reform, Food Stamps, employment and training, and services for children with special health care needs.
As a Research Associate at Child Trends, he developed protocols for site visits and interviewed State and local officials on issues relating to welfare reform, food stamps, health policy, employment and training, child care, and child welfare. Mr. Botsko holds a
bachelor's degree in sociology from Indiana University and a master's degree in sociology from Rutgers University.
