As Meetings Coordinator, Tamar Shealy handles meetings logistics including, but not limited to, site selection, travel arrangements for Federal and non-Federal participants and presenters, development of meeting materials, and onsite support for approximately 50 meetings and workshops per year. She currently works on quarterly meetings for the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders and Genetic Diseases in Newborns and Children. Ms. Shealy recently coordinated all the logistics and meetings management for a Surgeon General's Workshop on Women's Mental Health and provided meeting management support for the first Title X meeting, held in New Orleans. Previously, she coordinated catering and events for a large DC area hotel and assisted in meeting planning for a national manufacturers association. Ms. Shealy has an associate's degree in culinary arts from Stratford University.
