Marisa Ferreira serves as a Policy Associate in the Evaluation and Research Methods Practice Area. In this position, she plays a lead role in conducting a comprehensive statewide Title V needs and capacity assessment. Additionally, Ms. Ferreira manages the
Bright Futures outcome evaluation project. The purpose of this evaluation activity is examining the effectiveness of State-level approaches for disseminating broadly the Bright Futures philosophy, approach, and materials. In this role, she is responsible for the
development of project related forms and data collection tools, coordination between HSR and the States, and daily management activities.
Ms. Ferreira also assists in a variety of additional projects related to food and nutrition assistance programs and maternal and child health. She provides expertise in program evaluation and policy
research as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Ms. Ferreira is also a Registered Dietitian. Before coming to HSR, she spent 5 years with the Massachusetts Women, Infants, and Children program as a Nutritionist. She received a master's in public health nutrition at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor's of science in nutrition at the University of Delaware.
