Effective technical assistance in the 21st century will entail innovative,
Web-based approaches to information access and resource dissemination.
HSR has incorporated these tools into the training and resource development
services it provides to many of its clients. Examples include:
Treatment
Improvement Exchange (TIE)
To ensure timely access to information on new developments in substance
abuse treatment, HSR administers TIE for the Federal Center for Substance
Abuse Treatment (CSAT). We maintain an array of information services on
the Internet as well as manage a nationwide database of consultants with
expertise in the delivery and financing of substance abuse treatment.

The Maternal
and Child Health Information Resource Center (MCHIRC)
HSR operates this federally funded resource to enhance the capacity of
state and local programs in using data for policy and program planning.
MCHIRC features DataSpeak, a series of national audio and Internet-based
conferences that provide easy access to state-of-the-art research and
best practices information. The MCHIRC also produces Child Health USA,
an annual publication featuring data on 54 health status indicators.
