A Cross-Training Action Plan should include strategies to
address priority areas, challenges, and gaps identified at
the point of service by clients, the community, and providers.
Strategies may be needed for:
- Clarifying barriers to effective interaction among workers
in different systems at points of service;
- Changing policies to support collaboration;
- Reallocating some resources;
- Adapting specific culturally based practices;
- Conducting advocacy across systems;
- Forming new partnerships and agreements;
- Promoting linkages among trainers and training systems;
- Preparing applications for funding of new training and
programs;
- Replicating Cross-Training; and
- Accessing other training resources and information.
