Once strategies have been developed, concrete action steps
can be defined. Sample action steps might include:
- Providing training in confidentiality laws;
- Changing interagency agreements;
- Conducting skill training;
- Providing professional updates;
- Writing a proposal for grant funds; or
- Meeting with State agency officials regarding barriers.
For each action step, resources and level of effort should
be specified, along with assignment of responsibility. Five
questions have to be answered by each participating agency:
-
What specific actions are needed to surmount barriers
identified? To implement the strategies you defined?
-
Who will be responsible for taking each action?
-
Who will coordinate the effort to insure cross-agency
success?
-
What resources are needed to support each action?
-
What is the timeline for completion?
